Living under 3 huge trees (2 poplar and 1 oak) means that fall suck.  I'm thinking I have 4 more weekends of clean up the yard because the trees still have 80% of their leaves.  This just means I'll have to drink beer for now.

Doh, forgot the link to the experiment.

Here is my barrel.

I came across an article by Kevin Kosar where we took a Wasmund barrel kit and re-aged a modest, aka "Cheap", bottle of Kentucky Gentleman blended whiskey with impressive results.  This drove me to locate some of the famous Popcorn Sutton moonshine.  I recall in the video he mentioned men have paid $50 dollars just for a sip.  Luckily Popcorn trusted his recipe with his family, the family teamed with Hank Williams Jr. to do a run of the limited legal moonshine.

With the taxes paid the moonshine be came "white whiskey" and more readily available, at least in theory.  The liquor was only sold in three outlets and has since run out.  This caused some of the bottles to sell for $50-$100 on Ebay.  Since Ebay has stopped the sale of any sealed liquor these numbered bottles are even more rare.
